Keyboards in different shapes and sizes
Have you always wanted to know the difference between a harpsichord, an organ, a harmoium, a pianoforte, an upright piano and a grand piano? How are they played? What do tey sound like? You will get an answer to these and many other questions during Keyboard Sounds.
Fragile instruments
Most of the instruments that are exhibited in the museum are old, fragile instruments, which we want to preserve for posterity, which is why they may no longer be played. You can however use our app to hear what they sound like.
Keyboard Sounds
A small selection of our keyboards may still be played on occasion. It's also a great opportunity to enjoy their stunning sound.
Follow the history of the keyboard 'live'. The musician and lecturer Bart Rodyns will take you on a journey through time, from the Baroque till the present, playing on various period instruments as you move along. A fascinating tale, for young adults and adults.

- the tour takes approx. 60 minutes
- preferably on Tuesday between 10 am and 5 pm
- for groups and only on appointment
- maximum 20 participants per group
